Paola Mongelli was born in Turin, where she lives and works. In 1998 she graduated in Scenography at Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti (Higher School of Fine Arts), where she studied Photography with Giorgio Avigdor. In that period she began a very personal research by using black and white images, exploring in a particular way fine art dark-room printing techniques. In her recent works she has been expressing herself also through drawings and performances, focusing on themes linked to portrait and vision and the world of feelings and movement. She works as a Photography teacher both in private and university context
